Series - OUT OF FOCUS

Women are dancing, sitting, kneeling, standing, curtseying, twirling, crouching, jumping and breathing in this series. They are going through all the motions of living, of life. They have blood flowing through their veins; they move their limbs just like men. Yet they are invisible or slightly out of focus. Nobody sees their face, their eyes.

They are simply creatures in the distance, doing something. They don’t register on the consciousness fully, as if they are in the background. The world of men is clearly defined; every act of theirs is noted, lauded and appreciated. Registered fully in the consciousness of the world. Women’s acts are blurred and never fully acknowledged or noticed.
